Getting your medical cannabis card in MA is simple. We at Mayflower are happy to walk you through the process, or you can see below for the 5 simple steps. Once you are registered with the state, you may register at Mayflower and begin to purchase products.
The Massachusetts State Medical Marijuana Program has approved the use of cannabis for patients with the following severe, debilitating or life-threatening conditions: Cancer, Glaucoma, HIV or AIDs, Hepatitis C, ALS, Parkinson’s Disease, Crohn’s Disease, MS, Anxiety and other debilitating conditions as determined by a qualifying patient’s healthcare provider
HOW TO REGISTER
STEP 1
CONTACT YOUR HEALTHCARE PROVIDER
Contact your practitioner to see if medical marijuana may help. Practitioners must be registered with DPH in order to issue you a certification.

STEP 2
OBTAIN PATIENT CERTIFICATION
Obtain patient certification from a registered practitioner if appropriate for your condition.
STEP 3
REGISTER WITH MA VIRTUAL GATEWAY
Register on Virtual Gateway with this link and then create your account in the MMJ Online system with the PIN given by your Health Care Provider. Your ID card will arrive in the mail a few days after registration.
STEP 4
DESIGNATE A CAREGIVER
( Optional ) Patients can designate up to two caregivers* when they register. Designated caregivers must then register by following the same process as the patient (steps 1, 2 & 3). An ID Card will arrive in the mail in a few days after registration.
STEP 5
PURCHASE PRODUCT
Bring your Program ID card and a state-issued ID to any licensed dispensing facility of your choice in the state of Massachusetts. Many dispensaries offer pre-registration. You may complete Mayflower’s pre-registration form below.
